Video

Watch, then start writing.

A short intro and a walkthrough of the screens. (Videos are in Japanese.)

Screens

Switch on the left, write on the right.

Daily, Notes, Search, History. You do not need to reopen the app to move between them.

Daily

Open a day from the calendar. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow are one click away. With holiday data, weekends stand out in color too.

Notes

Pages you grow by topic or project. Expand folders, create, rename, drag to move. Pin what you use often.

Search

Search body text, file names, and folder names together. Return to earlier search terms. When you find a file, edit it right away.

History

Recently updated daily memos and notes in one list. Filter by name and jump back to where you left off.

Right pane

See, follow, and notice connections.

After writing, use Preview, Headings, and Info. As you add [[dates]] and [[note names]], daily records and notes link up.

Preview

Check headings and lists as you go. Toggle checkboxes in the preview; they update the body. Click a wiki link to open that day or note.

Headings

See the structure of the page. Tap an item to jump to that place in the editor.

Info

Header, tags, wiki links, then backlinks. Click a tag to search; click a link to open that note. Backlinks are other notes that point here.

Compare

Easier to use than Obsidian.

Obsidian has a strong set of tools for linking notes — graph, plugins, and more. It can also feel hard. Antholier puts daily notes and topic notes on one screen from the start, so you can begin with today’s line.

The day is already there

Open a day from the calendar. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow are one click. You do not start by setting up folders and date formats yourself.

Return via folders and pins

Keep topic notes in folders and pin pages you use often. You can continue without opening a graph.

The same plain text

Still .txt and .md. Open the same folder as an Obsidian Vault. When you need the graph or a plugin, open that page over there.

Markdown

Write, preview, jump by heading.

Editing stays plain text. The preview beside you shows headings and lists. Jump from the heading list, and toggle checkboxes in the preview.

FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from other note apps?

You work with daily memos and notes in one app, while the contents stay as ordinary text files in a folder. They are not locked in a private store.

Where is the data saved?

In the base folder you choose. Until you set one, the app uses its default folder. Change the location with ⌘O.

When should I use daily memos vs notes?

Use Daily for that day’s record, and Notes for documents you grow by topic or project. Both open from Search or ⌘P.

Can I sync?

Yes — put the base folder in iCloud, Nextcloud, or another sync target. Because the data is files, you can use the sync setup you already have.

The more you write, the clearer your mind becomes.

It does not have to be perfect prose. Start by keeping it nearby in a form you can continue.
